The family living in a camper behind us is... interesting. The dad’s a pipeline welding foreman and has a truck almost identical to this:
Except with a custom bed holding a Lincoln welder, fuel tanks, and other tools for his job. Anyway, last night I went out and it was idling with the lights off and it smelled like an egg fart. Every other time I’ve been around this truck it has had the normal diesel exhaust smell. This morning when he was leaving to go to work it smelled normal.
Was this DPF burnoff I was smelling? It seems that could be the cause of the sulfur odor, and it’s an 07 which means it has to meet the new emissions standards for that model year. Anyone familiar with diesels care to answer?

possibly. the newer dpfs use urea injection and that can give off a smell

2007 6.0's don’t have DPF or DEF. 2007 was the cutoff.

I wouldn’t wanna smoke anything that smelled like that. The best stuff I ever had smelled like juniper berries with a hint of skunk. It was incredible. 1 hit- clean your whole house. 2 hits - watch cartoons for three hours. 3 hits - bedtime.
